Services and Treatments

Well Checks

Our pediatricians are on the lookout for any medical issues that may affect your child because detecting problems early make them easier to correct. These issues include vision and hearing problems, environmental exposure to lead, anemia, elevated cholesterol, and more. We also address safety in the home, at the playground, optimal nutrition, sleep pattern, toilet training, and environmental concerns.

Sick Visits/Acute Concerns

Fevers can happen overnight. We have same-day appointments for high temperatures, chills, rashes, sore throat, dehydration, or other sick symptoms. We provide treatment for acute injuries, test for concussions, and prepare treatment plans. We can provide wart removal, skin lesion excision, mole biopsy, and other minor procedures.

ADD/ADHD

We know that challenges in focus and impulse control can affect the dynamic of the entire household. Our initial ADHD visits are longer than standard sick visits to allow us time to explore the many contributory aspects of a child’s life both at home and at school. We offer both traditional and complementary approaches to ADHD management that involve whole-patient and whole-family care, and track progress with validated tools using feedback from parents and teachers.

Our clinic ensures a safe and hygienic environment, using state-of-the-art facilities and sterile, hypoallergenic equipment. Performed by one of our pediatricians, we make this special moment memorable for your child and stress-free for you.

Lactation Consultations

The benefits of breastfeeding are well-known. Not only is breast milk easier to digest than commercial formula, but it’s also more nutritious and boosts your baby’s immune system.

But breastfeeding can be challenging, so Bee Well offers licensed breastfeeding assistance. Our board-certified lactation consultant, Dr. Van Benthuysen, provides lactation consultation services for both established and visiting patients.

Is there a Board-Certified Pediatrician that you would like meet? If you would like to schedule a meeting with one of our Pediatricians to see how they can be the best fit for your family, you can request a complimentary Prenatal Visit with the pediatrician of your choice.

Our expert nutritionist, Kathryn Profilet, specializes in weight management, sports nutrition, and adult and pediatric nutrition. Rely on her to offer compassionate support for all of your nutritional goals.

Vaccinations

At Bee Well Pediatrics, we firmly believe that vaccinating children and young adults may be the single most important health-promoting intervention we perform as healthcare providers and that you can perform as parents/caregivers. We offer the full range of vaccinations necessary for healthy child growth recommended by the Center for Disease Control (CDC).

Sports Physicals & Concussions

Bee Well provides comprehensive sport and camp physicals, which are crucial to discovering and avoiding health problems that might interfere with your youngster’s participation in sporting activities. We also educate children and parents about proper exercise, conditioning, nutrition, and training to optimize athletic success and enjoyment.

Athlete Services:

  • Concussion ImPACT Testing: baseline sway testing is included with sport physicals. Follow up testing is done as needed.
  • Baseline ImPACT neurocognitive concussion testing is available as an add-on service with follow-up testing available as needed.

Frequently Asked Questions

Appointments

We make every effort to accommodate same-day appointments for sick children. Please be aware during high call volume times you may experience an extended hold. We appreciate your patience as we answer all calls in the order they come in. We work as quickly and accurately as possible to get all of our patients calls answered.

Appointments can be scheduled online or by calling our office number during business hours.

New Patients

All patients should bring the following to their appointments:

  • Insurance Card
  • List of any and all medications
  • Recent Immunization record

Please be on the lookout for an email or text from Phreesia so you can pre-register and check-in online prior to your visit. Pre-registration needs to be completed prior to your appointment.

Referrals & Specialists

  • Before calling to schedule an appointment, check with your insurance company to find out if a referral is required, and to determine “in-network” benefits.
  • If a referral is required, be sure to call our office 1 week in advance to allow time for or Referral Team to send medical records and request prior authorization if needed.
  • If the specialist we recommend is not participating in your insurance network, to avoid “out-of-pocket” expense, please consider a doctor recommended by your insurance.

Office Policies

Our office policies are outlined here.

Newborns

We make finding a pediatrician very easy! Our goal is to be your family’s new medical home which is why we offer convenient services for you. Attend one of our free Newborn Care Classes or watch our video here.

Most hospitals ask for the name of your pediatrician before you deliver. That way, if there are complications during your pregnancy or delivery, your baby can be examined by their pediatrician at birth, otherwise, your baby’s first examination will take place within the first 24 hours after birth.  We ask that you call our office to schedule a follow up 1-3 days after you and your new baby are discharged from the hospital.

Insurance & Fees

We are contracted with most major insurers and are continuing to add more. Our Insurance list can be found here.  Please contact your insurance company to verify if we are a contracted provider with your insurance. If your insurance is not listed, you can still see us, and may qualify for a self-pay discounted rate
